So what kind of dumb son of a bitch decided to call it the 'funny bone'? I think it is a seriously cruel, unnecessary joke. I had never had the experience of hitting it until about 20 minutes ago and to tell you the truth.. I was seriously disappointed. I thought that when you hit your 'funny bone' it would be funny or make you laugh or at least not hurt. WRONG.
See, I was being a jerk and I jumped on Aaron's back.. sort of like a sneak attack.. and he was startled enough to accidentally push me off.. which catapulted me towards the floor.. the impact of the fall wouldn't have been as painful as what happened during the fall.
As instincts kicked in, I stretched my arm back to try to catch myself.. right where a wooden chair happened to be sitting..
And THAT'S the moment when I hit a part of my body that I had never hit before. I immediately grabbed it, and started bitching and moaning and almost crying.. Aaron freaks out and asks me if I'm okay.. (I think he almost cried, too)
I asked him why the fuck it hurt so bad.. I mean, I just hit my arm, right? not exactly. Aaron informs me that what I hit, is my 'funny bone'.. which I didn't believe, of course.. thinking that it was suppose to make me laugh. Then he starts laughing at my insane assumptions and I get even more mad. Why the fuck would someone name something that when hit, hurts so damn much??
Well, I did my research.. and it turns out.. it's not even a bone! It's an extremely sensitive nerve at the tip of your humerus bone.. which I guess is why it's called that.. but STILL.. it's mean. To lead people on like that. I'm sure I'm the only one who is so gullible but shit.
So, I come to you to let you know to be careful. I am seriously considering wearing elbow pads at all times now. It was awful. It stung like a bitch and I'm pretty sure it's one of the worst pains I've ever had. Now it's all tingly and I think it's going to fall off.
