Starting Over

Today is January 14th, 2010. It's been two weeks since the New Year began and I can tell you that this virgin decade is already starting off on the right foot.. with the exception of a few minor bumps in the road.
New Years Resolution
This year, Aaron and I have decided that we are making a duet of a resolution.
"You put me first, I put you first"
It may not be a big "improve myself" declaration, but it's something that means leaps and bounds to us. Over the past two years of living together, we seem to have forgotten why we're together. We fight so much we probably shouldn't be, but for some reason we've lasted. The reason we fight is simply this: We don't put each other before ourselves or others. I believe that for a relationship to really work, you must be willing to do just that. So we've decided to do something about it to try and salvage whats left of this unruly affair and start from scratch.
So far, this idea has worked wonders. We've both been happier and we've spent less time at each other's throats and more time being in love.
With Good Comes Bad
Although things have been going great with my romantic relationship, things haven't been going very well for me, myself, and I. I'm being laid off from my job and it's been pretty hard to find a new one. I have one week to find one or I'm unemployed.
Another thing that has put me in a sour mood is the rash I developed a few weeks ago. I found out last week that it's shingles. It's almost run it's course, but it's still irritating. I guess I'm not even suppose to have shingles because I'm so young and it will probably return later in life. Boo.
Auld Lang Syne
That's it for today.
Remember to always look forward, keep your feet on the ground, and never settle for less than extraordinary. Seeeee ya bitches.
